2. Outlining or Diagramming your Ideas

Thought organization is a key to writing a successful essay. It can be done by preparing an outline of your ideas in a sequence which can then be transformed into the body of your essay.

3. Writing a Thesis Statement

Once a topic is finalized and the outline is structured, you need to create a thesis statement. This statement gives the concise summary of the claim or main points of the essay. It should be placed at the end of the introductory paragraph.

Example:

Topic: “Labor Laws in the USA”

“Labor Laws are important for the social welfare of the states as they can govern and stabilize the economic direction of the state”

b. Cause & Effect Structure: Listings can be paragraphed in the main body

Once the main body is developed on the basis of a thesis statement, you can write a catchy introduction. The main focus of the introduction should be to attain readers’ attention, and it can be done by using opening quotes, stories or the context-based facts. Put thesis statement as the last sentence.

6. Writing Conclusion
